The Master Programme provides you with the knowledge and methods to work in smart city projects with a focus on strategy, concept and project implementation: either self-employed, as a leading consultant for an international company or as a leading architect, urban planner or engineer.

Unter der Leitung von

Prof. Dr. Iris Belle is a full Professor at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Architecture and Design and serves as the Dean of Studies at the International Master Programme Smart City Solutions. She graduated with a PhD in Geography from Heidelberg University and is a registered architect in Germany. Iris has combined practice in the AEC industry with academia and held a tenure track as Assistant Professor at Tongji University Shanghai, a postdoc with ETH Zürich in Switzerland and the Future Cities Lab in Singapore. She worked for gmp-architekten in China, Drees & Sommer in Germany and others.

Professionals in the fields of architecture, urban design, urban planning, infrastructure or engineering; equipping them to take leading roles in complex projects, both national and international.

Applicants from a broad spectrum of disciplines are accepted. First degrees include Bachelor, Magister, Diploma or equivalent in the following disciplines: architecture, urban design, urban planning, civil engineering, real estate economics, business administration, finance and management, social studies. At least one year of relevant professional experience.
'TOEFL' or 'IELTS Academic' in English.

Germany Scholarship / Deutschlandstipendium 3,600 € per year paid in monthly instalments. University foundation / Studienstiftung der HFT Stuttgart 1,500 € per year paid in two instalments over a period of 2 semesters.

The quality of the Master programme is assured through external accreditation conducted by the renowned academic accreditation agency ASIIN e.V.
