This is an advanced course focusing on some of the more practical aspects of PV module and system engineering. Starting from a more in depth look at the module design and manu­facturing, to module electrical and optical characterization, focusing on the measurement methods and tools as well as interpretation of the measured parameters. The course then continues with methods for characterizing the performance of PV inverters in the laboratory, as well as performance monitoring and analysis of PV plants. The course concludes with approaches to characterize the solar resource and shading at a potential PV installation side. Please note that this reservation is only to buy the certificate. In this course you will learn about fabrication of crystalline silicon PV modules, and theoretical and practical aspects on PV modules and system characterization, including IV characterization, IAM determination, imaging, inverter characterization as well as monitoring and performance analysis on PV plants and shading analysis.
